Daytime Emmys 2010 took place Sunday night, and The was recognized as the Best Drama for the second consecutive year. Also, recently canceledarned awards for Best Actor and Best Actress in Michael Park and Maura West, respectively.
The triumphs for As the World Turns were bittersweet in that the show just saw its 53-year run come to an end. That’s a remarkable feat given that no evening drama has ever last more than 21 years. To have any show air for more than a half century is remarkable indeed.
Meanwhile, The Bold and the Beautiful won for a second straight year after never picking up the top award since its beginning in 1987.
