Western States 100 Mile Endurance Run, Western States 100 Mile Run

It’s that time of the year! The last weekend of June is here and it is time for one of the oldest ultra in the world…The Western States 100.

The Western States Endurance Run is one of the oldest ultra trail events in the world and certainly one of the most challenging.

The WS100 will take participants along the Western States Trail starting at alifornia, and ending in Auburn, California, a total of 100 miles. The trail climbs more than 2,500 vertical feet in the first 4.5 miles up to Emigrant Pass. From there, racers will climb another 15,540 feet before descending close to 23,000 feet.

The competitors of the WS100 have 32 hours to complete the race to be eligible for the race belt buckle! The race starts at 5am on Saturday morning!

Good luck to all those participating in this year’s WS100!
